MESSAGE FROM CLINT

Hello, I am Clint Lawson, candidate for Judge of the 288th District Court in Bexar County, Texas. My campaign slogan is “JUSTICE, not politics” which reflects my core values in “doubling down” and “refocusing” on professionalism, integrity, and truth. Reaffirmation of my core values is appropriate during this time in our history when longstanding traditions are under attack and are being eroded. As a conservative jurist, I will strictly interpret and apply existing law to the facts of each case in accordance with the Texas and U.S. Constitutions.

My professional career and life experience have prepared me for the next chapter of my life as a public servant and Judge of the 288 District Court. Family law cases dominate the docket of the 288th District Court and my qualifications exceed those that voters should expect of their judge.

As a Board Certified Family Law Attorney, the State Bar of Texas designates me as a “Family Law Expert”. I have the comprehensive skills necessary to effectively settle or litigate complex family law cases. This skill includes an ability to simultaneously manage a client’s expectations, effectively interact with opposing counsel, and navigate the courtroom.

I am routinely recognized for excellence in the practice of law. This includes Martindale Hubbell’s “AV” peer review rating for legal ethics and ability, their highest rating. Furthermore, I am a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Texas Bar College.

On a personal note, I am married to Marline Carter Lawson, a San Antonio native, and I am stepfather to our six children. We reside in the Monte Vista Historic District. This year, I am twice a proud grandfather. Andrea Brooks, my step-daughter and associate attorney, is mother to Baby Leigh. Baby Henry is a Houston native.

I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the people of Bexar County as Judge of the 288th District Court and assure you of my ongoing commitment to serve in a fair and impartial manner. I respectfully request your vote.
